Cultivate your craft.
To run a market garden well and earn a proper living from your work, you need to know quite a lot and have very specific skills. You need to know how to set up, how to organise yourself and how to grow successful crops.
Our courses are like ready-made kits. They're tailored to France — its climate, its laws, its sales channels, its way of organising things. They're built for those who already grow and want to improve their results, but also for anyone with a project in mind.
Who better than our students to talk about it?
Alano Alano
Excellent training, affordable for beginners. You can watch the videos multiple times (and you keep the content at the end of the course). The content is accessible and very practical. Each theoretical point is linked to practical application. The training provides the keys to setting up your project; the market gardening model is clear and transparent.
Julien Martinelli
Excellent training! The content was concise and practical, providing a wealth of valuable information (equipment selection, suppliers, vegetable varieties, etc.) as well as online tools for managing your project more precisely. I highly recommend this training, which offers a French-style approach to bio-intensive farming. Thank you all!
Rémi Gagne
This high-quality training program covers all aspects of managing a small-scale market garden. The content is clear, concise, and full of practical experience. It is designed for market gardening professionals who wish to start their own business or further develop their skills.
Mat St
Great work from Sylvain, Nancy, and the entire team. The advice is very relevant, and the development of the farm and the educational aspect is enormous and so inspiring. Having also visited Fortier, I prefer what Sylvain offers, which is more suited to France and professionals. Good luck!

For me, these courses are the result of more than 13 years of small-acreage market gardening.
The techniques I share were born from my own experiments and my constant pursuit of improvement. Being a market gardener is a demanding, holistic profession, calling for a wide set of skills. Every season is a quick whirlwind, and every mistake has a price: financial, physical and emotional.
Starting your venture on solid foundations lets you anticipate and minimise those mistakes. What I share in the lessons is what I would have loved to have at hand during my first year in the field. Taking part in these courses gives you a shortcut to succeed in your trade as a market gardener faster.
The numbers behind the teaching.
What we teach, we practise every day on 5,000 m². Here's the real state of the farm today — the figures that make our courses credible.
Generated solely from the sale of vegetables grown on the farm. No reselling, no training income, no CAP or other outside subsidies.
Aerial view, including greenhouses and pathways.
That's the maximum per week, markets and admin included, with 8 weeks of holiday a year and 2 days off per week.
Production volume grows every year, with steady progress.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Who are these courses for?
Aspiring growers in the process of setting up, established market gardeners who want to professionalise their practice, and people in career change. No technical prerequisites required.
What's the difference between online and in-person?
The online course (Microferme, 42 hrs / 130+ videos) is available 24/7 at your own pace, with lifetime access and forum membership. The in-person course (3 days on the farm, max 15 people) is full immersion with classroom and field time. Each does not give access to the other.
Are the courses translated into English?
Yes. The Microferme online course (videos, technical itineraries, worksheets and digital tools) is being fully translated into English. Final delivery is in progress. The Qrop & Brinjel course follows the same path.
How long do I keep access to online content?
Indefinitely. You keep access to the platform, regular updates and the forum as long as the course exists. New videos and resources are added continuously.
What does the Microferme course include exactly?
42 hours of content across 130+ videos: detailed crop plans, financial and cropping planning, tool selection, business model, work organisation. Plus access to the 1,500+ market gardeners forum and monthly video calls.
What if I want to host a session in my area?
We travel anywhere in France. Whether you're a GAB, Chambre d'Agriculture, GRAB, association or training body, we put together a turnkey session adapted to your area, audience and goals.
